- There is something annoying about the obstinate that's not simply due to being mistaken… they won't listen. The persistent are like boats whose engines can't be throttled back. The obstinate are like boats whose rudders can't be turned.

What very important truth do very few people agree with you on?

Who is today’s Cassandra figure?” It refers to somebody who is right about the future but has answers we don’t want to hear. The idea comes from Greek Mythology, where nobody believes (or likes) Cassandra even though she can see the future. Apollo grants her the gift of prophecy but turns it into a curse when she does not return his love.
